Originally created in 1888 by the J.R. Watkins Medical Company, Petro Carbo has been one of the company’s most popular products over the years. The company’s version of healing carbolic salve proved to be a winning formula, and it’s been a trusted first aid remedy for over 100 years and counting. It also still comes in an attractive tin that helps preserve the active ingredients.
Active ingredients include a blend of camphor, cajeput oil (tea tree oil) and spruce. Use Watkins Petro Carbo Salve to alleviate discomfort from minor cuts, burns, itching, pain and a range of skin conditions. The carbolic salve is made with the same care and attention to quality as it always has been, making it a reliable home remedy for everyone. A little goes a long way, and a tin can last for a good long while, depending on frequency of use. - Ingredients
- Phenol, cajeput oil, camphor oil, paraffin, partially hydrogenated rosin, petrolatum, spruce oil
- Usage
- For adults and children 2 years and older: Apply to affected area not more than 3-4 times daily. For children under 2 years of age: Consult a physician.
