Having a bedside step stool can make a big difference in the level of safety for someone with limited mobility. This type of bed stool can also be useful for someone recovering from surgery or serious medical condition. Made of strong steel, this bed stool has a solidly built frame and can hold up to 800 pounds, which is twice as much weight as a standard stool.
The platform has plenty of room for planting both feet firmly on the surface. Two safety rails are on either side for gripping to ensure stability before moving onto or off the bed. The taller rail is constructed for handicap use, making it extra-secure. A motion-activated LED light built into the bedroom step stool shines brightly in the dark to help prevent slip-and-fall accidents.
This single step for high beds has an adjustable height from 2 1/2" to 7 1/2". It measures 32"W x 18"D x 32"H and the step – which features grip tape for increased safety – is 32"W x 12"D. This step stool for bed weighs 22 pounds and is made of powder-coated steel.
